Primary Education Pack
The aim of this work is to help inform young people about the futility of violence.
The central part of the pack is Adam’s Story It tells of his last night out and sets the scene for the issues covered in the Every Action Has Consequences work.
It also shows the real impact of this tragic event and the consequences for Adam’s family and friends.
The education pack will enable young people to discuss how:
- their actions can have an impact
- anger should not automatically mean violence
- conflict can be resolved in many different ways
- it is good to know when to walk away
- supporting our friends is important
- peer pressure can be used in a very positive way
- alcohol and the law affects young people
- our health can be affected by alcohol
The work also introduces the topic of Organ Donation.
Secondary Education Pack
The aim of this work is to help inform young people about the futility of violence in our streets. We want young people to stand up and say ‘We don’t accept it as normal on a night out to see fights and people so drunk they don’t know what they are doing or who they are hurting.’ There have been too many young people killed in our streets in recent years and mostly it is all about nothing. This education pack will encourage young people to think about the youth culture of today. It will enable them to discuss how:
- their actions can have an impact
- they are the ones who can change things
- peer pressure can be used in a very positive way
